Training Camp Options

Sometimes a family dog needs a more personalized and immersive experience.

That’s why we have a Board &Training Camp options available.

We’ll discuss your dog's individual needs in and out of the home and then, tailor a training approach designed to modify those unwanted behaviors and instead show your dog how to happily engage with their handler and reinforce positive behaviors. Your dog begins to learn how to behave polite, calm, and collected while working through any insecurities or fears through confidence building. We address any house manners problems they have, in a structured environment while getting daily socialization out in public, proofing all of their obedience. We update you with your dog’s progress at the beginning and end of each week, so you know exactly how they are progressing and what their strengths and weaknesses are. They’ll have their own private kennel for quiet time and structured training. We know what it’s like to leave your dog with someone and take that responsibility seriously. You will receive regular updates as well as weekly photos and videos of your pups stay.

We are dedicated to ensuring our client’s success and have set up Training Camps to reflect that philosophy.

We purchased a young dog, Alice, for service dog work. While I was able to put good foundational obedience on her, I needed advanced obedience and service dog training, which is far beyond my skill set. I contacted Gallatin K9/Claire to discuss my needs. Claire and I first worked together in private lessons, and her intuitiveness, individual approach and skill in working with both me and with Alice was so impressive. Alice immediately took to Claire (as did I), as her kind, thoughtful approach to my individual dog and her specific needs and Alice’s motivations made training on my own so much easier. Alice also spent over three weeks with Claire for her advanced obedience and service dog in-kennel training. I received daily updates, with photos and videos. I did not worry about Alice’s health and safety with Claire, as she takes such excellent care of her dogs and treats in-kennel dogs as her own. Alice was engaged all throughout her in-kennel training. Claire had us meet with her several times during in-kennel training to train with Alice under her guidance. The advancement of Alice’s training while in Claire’s care was evident early on, as was Claire’s strategic and individual approach to my specific dog and her training needs. She is now a dog who is neutral and focused on me while she is doing her service dog work. Her advanced obedience is rock solid. Claire gave her more confidence (and calmness) in approaching all situations, and we were able to earn our Canine Good Citizen certification with ease. I absolutely give Gallatin K9 and Claire 5 stars. The advancement and maturity of my dog under her watchful eye and after in-kennel training is second to none.

Claire is a top notch dog trainer , both with her own dogs and helping me train my little Enzo. My favorite aspect of Claire’s training is that she knows how to be firm and consistent ; but also kind and compassionate to both me and my dog, which made both me and Enzo happy to learn. I love her energetic play that I copied which got Enzo so involved and happy to work. We had a specific goal which allows Enzo to travel with me and accompany me almost anywhere. Besides training at their beautiful facility, Claire joined Enzo and I to many offsite locations to challenge Enzo even more ; those outings were paramount to us reaching our goal. Success!
I would recommend Claire and Gallatin K9 to anyone wanting a well-trained dog.

Claire understands dogs and clearly loves dogs. Our German Shepherd responded naturally to her affection and training. We are looking forward to her board and train program in April over our spring break! We have complete trust in her ability and kindness with animals.
